Visible Benefits – Champagne Mumm

Field Packaging – Bradford has produced a high quality polypropylene carton for Champagne Mumm. The special carton in the shape of a stylish briefcase has been exclusively developed for sale within the travel retail environment.

This technically demanding pack is printed in 2-colours and incorporates fine gold foil blocking. It is made from gloss-gloss polypropylene, which has the strength to contain four 250cl bottles of Champagne. In order to manufacture this carton, Bradford had to develop techniques to convert this special material. In addition, in partnership with its key suppliers, it developed a specific set of fast-drying inks and varnishes as well as an adhesive especially suited to this substrate.

Paul Durkin, Bradford's Business Development Director, said: "We believe this is the first time a gloss-gloss polypropylene carton of this high specification has been manufactured. The carton provides a large surface area for branding as well as product visibility."
