Whisky in Great Shape
Field Packaging – Bradford has developed a new shaped carton to support the launch of an exclusive range of gift products for the World's leading brand of Scotch whisky, Johnnie Walker.
The shape of this special carton was inspired by the elegant styles frequently used in the cosmetic and toiletry markets and has been used to pack three, fine Johnnie Walker whiskies – Black Label, Pure Malt and Gold Label. The three designs in the collection each contain a 20cl bottle and the range was exclusively developed for the travel retail environment.
The packs are technically demanding as each carton design incorporates subtle embossing, which gives the appearance of a pin-strip impression to the front and back elevations of the pack. The side elevations are extensively embossed with the Johnnie Walker name and fine gold blocking further enhances the tactile character of each pack.
Field First – Label Access, produced the self-adhesive labels for the entire range. The labels provide a tamper evidence feature and are printed in 3-colours plus a special matt varnish. The label's fine detail, particular the Royal Crest, demanded precise registration and colour matching.
