Reaching for the Stars
On 26 June, Field was presented with a number of prestigious industry awards at the Starpack Awards Ceremony at the Hilton Hotel, London.
Field Packaging - Bradford won a Gold Star Award as well as the ProCarton Food Award for an innovative Champagne pack produced for Allied Distiller's Perrier Jouet Origami brand. The Gold Star Award is very seldom awarded and is only one of a handful presented each year. The novel Champagne carton holds four 20cl bottles and the style of the carton reflects the name of the brand, folding out to reveal the bottles inside.
In addition, Field Packaging Systems became the first company to win a prestigious Starpack Award under a new category introduced this year for Packaging Machinery. FPS won the award for a unique machine system that it supplied to Nestlé, which helped to support the launch of a new innovative carton for its leading brand of mint chocolates, After Eight.
As well as the Gold Star Awards, several other packs were nominated for both Silver and Bronze Starpack awards. Field Packaging – East Kilbride won a Silver award for a high quality carton produced for Jameson Irish Whiskey and Bradford secure two additional Silver awards for packs produced for Allied Distillers and Diageo.
